No flat spots from low R.P.M. to extreme top end. Prices include gaskets and cap screws when ordered as a unit.

Application (Vehicles, Makes, and Models): – The 5893 cross ram base is designed for small block Chevy engines. This makes it compatible with a wide variety of Chevrolet vehicles that use a small block V8, including classic Camaros, Novas, Chevelles, and many other Chevy performance cars and drag racing builds from the 1960s through the 1980s.

Other Offenhauser Parts Used With: – The 5893 is only the base. It is commonly paired with the 5903 dual quad top, 5901 single quad top, and can also be used with a 5899 Triple Weber Top. For complete assembly, the 5902 linkage is needed as well.

Performance (RPM and Horsepower): – The 5893 cross ram is well-regarded for producing power over a broad mid to high RPM range and offers good streetability, especially when using the dual carburetor (dual quad) top. – Users have reported successful operation up to 7,000–8,500 RPM depending on setup, and it is a popular choice for drag racing engines, especially 283 and 327 small block Chevys with high compression and aggressive camshafts. – The large runner and port design helps maximize airflow for high RPM horsepower while maintaining drivability at lower ranges with the proper carburetors. Horsepower gains depend heavily on the rest of the build and tuning, but this intake is intended for strong top-end performance.

Carburetor Compatibility: – The 5893 is designed to be used with 4-barrel carburetors, such as Holley 660s or Carter AFBs, when using the 5903 or 5901 top – OR – 48 IDA downdraft Weber carburetors when using a 5899 Triple Weber Top. The manifold works best with traditional double-pumper or mechanical secondary carburetors in the 600–660 CFM range each for a drag or high-performance street setup.

Remember! The 3 tops will fit the same Base. Part No. 5893.

NOTE: This manifold may require some modification to fit with valve covers. Be sure and check for clearance when attempting to use in combination with valve covers.
