Offenhauser 2748 Air Horn

This aluminum carburetor air horn from Offenhauser is built for 4-7/32″ carb neck like the 1950’s vintage 4GC, WCFB etc. This air horn has 2-5/8″ hose inlet OD.

Air horn (also referred to as a carb hat or air horn bonnet) that mounts on top of a carburetor. It is specifically designed to fit early Carter AFB carburetors from the early 1960s, with a 4-3/16″ diameter base. It will not fit Edelbrock or AVS carburetors. The air horn can be used for routing air via ducting to a remote air filter, a common setup in certain classic or race car applications. The height of the 2748 air horn is approximately 1-1/4″ tall. This part was originally developed for the 1953 Studebaker but is used on other early carbureted applications as well.
