Description

The Offenhauser 3924 intake manifold is a six-carburetor setup specifically designed for small block Chevrolet V8 engines, particularly the 283 cubic inch model. It is most often used in hot rods and custom builds looking for that nostalgic “six Stromberg” or “six 3-bolt carburetor” look and performance for early Chevy V8s.

Fitment: – Engine: Small block Chevy V8, primarily the 283 CID, but it should fit most early small block Chevrolets with standard intake bolt pattern. – Vehicles: Commonly used in early Chevrolets (such as the 1955-1967 Chevy passenger cars), and a popular upgrade for hot rods, gassers, and street rods running small block Chevy V8s.

Recommended Carburetors: The 3924 uses six 3-bolt style carburetor mounting flanges. The most commonly used carburetors for this manifold are: – Stromberg 97 – Holley 94 – Rochester 2G (small base 2-barrel) – Other small 3-bolt hot rod carburetors

Typically, builders will run six matching Stromberg or Holley model 94 units for period-correct appearance and performance. These carbs are often set up with progressive linkage, so the engine runs on the center two carburetors for street driving, with the others opening under throttle for maximum performance.

This manifold is a classic showpiece and performance upgrade for early Chevrolet V8s, particularly in vintage and custom car applications.
