Offenhauser 5902 Cross Ram Linkage

Description

Offenhauser part number 5902 is a front-to-back carburetor linkage kit specifically designed for use with the Offenhauser small block Chevy cross ram intake manifold system. It is used when running the 5893 cross ram base with the dual quad top (5903). This linkage lets you operate two 4-barrel carburetors mounted on the cross ram, with both carbs set up facing forward (not reversed, like some original setups). The linkage connects through the mounting bosses cast into the dual quad top.

The carburetors most commonly used with this linkage are standard square-bore Holley or Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors, typically in the 500–650 CFM range each.

The 5902 linkage operates as a mechanical (synchronous/solid) linkage—not progressive. In other words, both carburetors are opened at the same time and to the same degree as you press the accelerator. This system does NOT stagger the opening of carburetors like a progressive setup would.
