The Offenhauser 0309-2 part is an adapter that works with Buick Nailhead V8 engines (such as the 264 or 322 from the early- to mid-1950s) to adapt them to early Ford manual transmissions (three-speed). There are two versions, 0309-1 and 0309-2, which correspond to different pilot bushing/bearing sizes required by different Buick crankshafts.
